Travel Tales: Experiences, Tips, and Laughs

The focus of this blog is to share experiences and stories about travel. The prep for, the actual travel, the recovery from, and the documenting of it, too!  Attempts at humour will be made – no guarantees my dry, pun-loving, funny bone will tickle yours though.

I will try and give you tips and practical information so you can plan your own travel. The focus will be on what I learned from my experiences, research about other traveling adventures, and, of course, family and friend advice too. I am no expert and have no official credentials, just a bunch of personal experience.

I love to travel, love to laugh, and think every day is an adventure. I am also a realist and think planning ahead is a super power, realize not every day travelling is as amazing as the last, and sometimes beng away from home with just a 35L pack can downrights suck for a moment or two. So hopefully that combination and my good intentions will make this blog something you would want to check out and maybe tell a few peeps about.

Married, living in Vancouver, loving my provincial government job in the area of health operations, and always always always planning my next travel destination. I love this big, crazy world and plan on seeing as many corners of it as I can.

I love to hike (albeit slow like a turtle), I love to scrapbook, write, read, play soccer and volleyball, and craft beer. I work full time, and am usually also going to University part time, and somewhere in there sometimes cook, keep a clean house, and love up my hubby and our furry land-shark, Bella Bean Pup Pup.

I am blessed beyond belief … I have the pleasure of coming from a massive family that I absolutely adore and is likely the reason I like traveling with a little chaos, noise, good laughs, and real exposure to different things. There is never a dull moment among a massive family, so what’s a busy London Tube Station?

I hope my blog can give you a nudge to travel or further fuel that travel bug you already have!
